Review our Evidence

Media

Each investigator has encountered personal experiences during the course of their work—some of them quite unsettling. While these accounts can be compelling, personal experiences alone do not constitute verifiable evidence. However, we have gathered a range of documented evidence, including photographs, audio recordings, and video footage, a selection of which we are pleased to share here.

Listen to EVPs

Audio

Our most frequently collected and compelling form of evidence is EVPs—Electronic Voice Phenomena—which constitute the majority of our findings. These recordings are categorized by their clarity, ranging from barely perceptible whispers to voices as distinct and audible as normal speech. On occasion, we even capture audible and unmistakable vocalizations such as screams, laughter, or other expressive sounds.

Watch and see

Video

In the era of YouTube, TikTok, and Reels, video content is abundant online. Unfortunately, much of it is fabricated—and with the rise of AI-generated media, the prevalence of fake footage is only increasing. The material presented here has been personally recorded by our investigators and carefully vetted for authenticity. Producing and reviewing high-quality video evidence is a time-intensive process, and not all investigators are able or willing to document their findings on camera. We are therefore especially appreciative of the moments we do capture on video.

Photo Evidence

The Gallery

We are occasionally approached by individuals seeking our assessment of purported paranormal photographs. While many are sincere in their inquiries, others appear more interested in testing our credibility by submitting images they already know to be fabricated.

With the widespread availability of mobile apps and digital editing tools such as Photoshop, manipulating images has become increasingly easy. As a result, genuine paranormal photographs are rarely as clear-cut or dramatic as popular media might suggest.

Nonetheless, our investigators have selected a number of images they believe may capture authentic spirit activity. We invite you to review them and form your own opinion.

Amityville, The Conjuring, The Exorcist —these well-known stories capture the imagination with accounts of levitating objects, unexplained knocking, physical disturbances, and alleged possession. They depict individuals tormented by forces beyond the visible world.

While Hollywood often dramatizes such phenomena, the reality—though less sensationalized—is no less unsettling. For some, these experiences are not fiction but a part of daily life.

With the permission of our clients, we have compiled a selection of significant cases we have investigated. We invite you to review them and draw your own conclusions.

Caught on Camera

Paranormal Phenomena or Digital Trickery?

There’s something undeniably thrilling about seeing the unexplained unfold on video. In an era where smartphones are constantly rolling and social media thrives on visual proof, what better way to capture potential paranormal activity than through a camera lens?

Of course, the same technology that lets us record everything at a moment’s notice also makes it easier than ever to fake it. With advanced editing tools, visual effects, and even AI-generated imagery, the line between the supernatural and the digital can quickly blur.

We don’t always bring a dedicated video team on our investigations—but when we do, the results can be genuinely intriguing. From strange orbs gliding across the frame to shadowy figures appearing where no one should be, we’ve caught moments that defy easy explanation. Then again, sometimes those eerie lights turn out to be nothing more than a speck of dust or an unsuspecting insect caught mid-flight.

Still, some clips leave us scratching our heads.

We invite you to watch our footage for yourself. Paranormal evidence or a trick of the light? You be the judge.

Evans House #J008
(client name in this case is used with permission. As a policy WISPS will not release client names without their consent)

December 13, 2014 WISPS  was contacted by a client Cleve Evans. Evans had been experiencing activity in his home for twenty plus years prior to our investigation. This case was handled a little differently than most, and was considered an emergency situation of sorts. As such WISPS  went in with a plan to remedy the situation immediately rather than spend an extensive amount of time investigating. Although there has been a significant decrease in the level of activity since WISPS intervened this case is still mildly active, and further steps are being taken to completely remedy the situation.

Rather than type up a full case study, below is a link to an interview with Mr. Evans, along with photos and videos of evidence collected.

Team members present were Castle, Lurch, and Colton T.

History:

The Nelson family has lived in their home for approximately five years. The family consists of Mark, and Nikki Nelson. The family has four sons, Tommy being particularly important to this case.  Nikki and Mark can best be described as agnostic. They believe there is something more to this life, but don’t subscribe to any particular belief system. They describe themselves as spiritual, and do their best to do what they feel is good, and right.

During the summer of 2013 the Nelson home was burglarized. Because of the burglary the Nelson’s have installed a closed circuit camera system in their home with several cameras. The camera in the master bedroom, and in the living room are of particular importance to this case.

Nikki has reported on several occasions the  cameras in the master bedroom and the living room have been inexplicably moved and pointed at the ceiling. It should be noted the living room has vaulted ceilings and that camera is approximately 12-14 feet off the ground. It would be difficult to move this camera. The cameras have been moved within moments of each other, and while only Nikki is home.

Mark reported he has awoken on two occasions at night with a pressure on his chest, and feeling like he was being choked so he could not breathe. Mark advised he ran to the bathroom. The choking sensation was bad enough he had to vomit. Nikki reported scratching and knocking from inside the walls.

Nikki also described while pregnant with Tommy she and Mark were awoken in the middle of the night with a black shadowy figure standing over her. Mark reported seeing the figure as well. Both Nikki and Mark described this encounter as terrifying. Speaking with Mark and Nikki both have had similar disturbing paranormal experiences over the years.

Prior to investigating the residence, WISPS Medium Brandy Paice, examined pictures of the home provided by the Nelson family, along with video footage of the cameras moving on their own. Brandy reported seeing a male spirit, a spirit of a female child, and what Brandy felt was a demonic spirit inside the home. Brandy advised the demonic spirit appeared to be attached to one child in particular, Tommy.  It was decided not to share this information with the Nelson family at that time.

Once the team arrived, we were given a brief tour of the home. In the basement there was a distinctly heavy feeling. The investigators were introduced to Tommy Nelson, a 15 year old male. Tommy’ room was in the basement. On meeting Tommy he told investigators the spirit that had been bothering him was gone now, and was no longer in the home. Tommy explained he had drawn warding symbols above the doorways in his bedroom. Tommy showed us several Egyptian eyes of Horus  which had been drawn in black crayon. Later research showed no link between the Eye of Horus and any sort of use for warding. It should be noted Tommy suffers from a mild mental disability making him vulnerable to manipulation from malicious external forces.

I asked Tommy to tell me about the spirit. Tommy advised it was large and black and hunched over. Thomas advised prior to his warding symbols it used to bother him all the time. I asked Tommy if the spirit had ever spoken to him, and he advised it had. When pressed as to what it had said Tommy replied “Rawr!!; but throatier.”.

Speaking with Tommy all investigators got the impression he wasn’t being forthright and was merely telling investigators what he thought they wanted to hear. A picture was taken of Tommy and sent to Brandy. Brandy immediately confirmed the demonic spirit was still attached to him.

Investigation Results:

The investigation began with numerous photographs and continual audio recording for EVPs. Nikki watched the camera system she had installed in her home. Approximately twenty minutes into the investigation Nikki reported seeing a translucent person walk in front of me on the cameras while in the master bedroom. Shortly after that the living room camera was moved to point at the ceiling, and the master bedroom camera was also shifted out of place on it’s own accord. Investigator Lurch began to conduct a flashlight test and was getting positive results. During the investigation Investigator C. Thomas reported seeing Tommy motioning to something unseen in his bedroom to exit out. Investigator Thomas advised this was particularly creepy. Investigator Thomas confided that it appeared Tommy was communicating with the demonic entity seen by Brandy.

At the end of the investigation the home and the occupants were given blessings. All investigators present and the family noticed the heavy feeling lift. After the investigators left the home and were able to debrief there was grave concern and a consensus that Tommy was being manipulated and deceived by the demonic entity in the house into believing it was a friend. Investigators felt that Tommy was working in concert with the entity and was being dishonest with investigators in his communications in an effort to protect the entity. All investigators shared the common concern that although the demonic entity had been removed from the home it was highly likely that Tommy would immediately invite the demonic entity back into the home.

The following day Nikki contacted WISPS  and advised the entity was back, and was retaliating against the family. Nikki reported appliance and electronics failures throughout the house along with a host of other annoyances. A follow-up visit was scheduled.

Resolution:

Concerned with Tommy inviting the entity back into the home I contacted my friend, and renowned medium and psychic Serenity Moore. Serenity has several holistic methods she uses to remove demonic dark entities from homes, and keep them out. Serenity’s methods are also more consistent with the Nelson’s belief systems.

Lurch, Serenity, and I were able to use her methods and remove the entity from the home. To date there have been no further reports of problems at the Nelson home.

Private Residence #J005
American Fork Utah, Sept 18, 2014

-Case Report by DeAnn Thomas

Resident names have been changed

Investigators who attended were DeAnn Thomas, Don Thomas, Jeff Carter, Heather Barney, and Keirsten Densley.

Walking into the house, the first thing we noticed was the décor.  It was amazing, the homeowner is an artist and collects unique and odd antiques. We made note that it was all antique and therefore possible trigger objects, objects potentially with spirits attached to them.  We kept it in mind as a possibility for the hauntings.

We talked with Jill and Ashton (m) (the owners of the house, along with their baby) about the types of activity that they were experiencing.   They stated it was mostly hearing things move, at one point they saw a TV remote tossed off a night stand.  One evening, while alone in the house with the baby, Ashton heard a woman’s voice say “Oh, what a beautiful baby,” which is what prompted the call to have us come investigate.  We then discussed with them the process that we would go through that night and made sure they were comfortable with what we were going to do.  We told them that we wanted them involved in the process as much as they felt comfortable as the spirits were more comfortable with them than us, more likely.  Ashton, at first, was very skeptical, but became more involved the longer we went on. By the end of the investigation Ashton was no longer a skeptic.

We started by taking a walk through the house.  It was built in 1902, and has since been added on to.  The homeowners stated that the bulk of the activity was in the older part of the home.  I felt a strong presence in the upstairs boys’ room and the nursery especially.  .   They then turned out the lights and we divided up and started taking pictures.  While most of us were taking pictures, Don sat in the living room with his night vision recorder.  After a few minutes, he mentioned to Ashton that he may be interested in what he could see on the screen.  Ashton moved to sit by Don so he could see.  The started seeing orbs and then Ashton exclaimed “Whoa, that’s crazy, what was that.”  Keep in mind, at this time, I was taking pictures right in front of them, I felt crowded by all the investigators in the room, when looking back on the video, I’m by myself or Jeff and Kiersten are there, but it felt like everyone was there.   Looking at the video, you can see a spirit pacing and a second one fliting into the room.   This was later verified by Brandy as Gregory pacing and Samantha. (two of the three spirits in the home.  Gregory in his 40’s Samantha and Alice, both in their 20’s).

Not too far into the investigation, Jill’s mother, father and one other person came to observe.  The dad was highly skeptical and was fairly vocal about it.  We were trying to get some results with a flashlight test and also taking EVPs.  We weren’t doing instant playbacks so didn’t know what was going on in EVPs, but we were getting nothing with the flashlights.  One glimmered on for a few seconds, but I don’t believe it was turned on by a spirit.  I went to check on some of the others to see if they were getting any activity.  They weren’t.  We went back into the front room a few minutes later and Jill’s parents and other guest decided to go.  No sooner did the skeptical father leave the house we were getting huge hits on the K2 meters, not one meter, but two, simultaneously, intelligent responses to questions.    They responded best when Ashton was asking question, but responded well to most questions.  Ashton started asking questions about the house, I mentioned that he should ask room by room.  We hit on the fact that there was something about the shed they wanted to convey.  We determined that there was something in the shed they wanted the home owners to be aware of.  They didn’t want it dug up or “found” per se, just for the owners to be aware.

About this time, another team (who had been investigating at another location) stopped by.  Our medium (who can see and speak with spirits) was with them.  She confirmed 1 male, 2 female spirits.   (Before I continue on, I should mention that I can “feel” gender of spirits.  We’ve been testing that to see how accurate I am.  I was told earlier by the medium that there were 3 spirits, but she held back on gender.  I had “felt” correctly.  She knew ahead of time, because she had been shown pictures of the home prior to the investigation.  I mention this only because it makes more sense of the way I worded parts of this case study.)  We asked what their names were.  They are named Gregory, Samantha, and Alice.  We asked her to ask them about the shed.  She said that Samantha had an infant daughter buried there.  She didn’t want a marker placed there, just for the homeowners to have knowledge of her.

All in all, a successful, active investigation.

Family Tree Restaurant

Location:

The Family Tree Restaurant, Santaquin, Utah

Date of investigation:

Wednesday, September 17, 2014; 8pm-1am

WISPS  members on-site:

Tim “Beaker”, Brandy, Jeff “Lurch”, DeAnn, Don, Mark, Gary “Castle”, Drew, Heather, Jesse

History:

Leslie’s Family Tree Restaurant is a third-generation, family run restaurant which consists of two buildings that sit side by side. The building to the east which houses the restaurant is the younger of the two structures. This portion of the establishment used to be the Santaquin Post Office and later a floral shop; it now has a friendly, rustic log cabin feel. The building to the west is a lot older and has been around for over a hundred years. Throughout its history it has served as a restaurant, garage, bar and billiards parlor, bus stop, bomb shelter and illegal gambling venue.

Results of Investigation:

Group was informed of a vortex in the older, east portion of the restaurant. This area yielded the majority of activity through the night, and several investigators reported being able to feel the presence of the vortex. At one point in the evening, Brandy, the group medium, witnessed dozens of small creatures exiting the vortex and flooding into the dining area. At this time there were reports of hair pulling and the creatures playing with toes.

There were various other entities present: a young boy and woman (both under the control of a demonic entity from their description provided by Brandy)  an angry man that goes by the name “Patrick.”, and a demonic entity in the basement that had taken on the guise of a little girl holding a doll.  Several EVP’s were captured, some class A but most of lesser varying degrees of clarity. At one point, a small group made their way to the basement of the building but was quickly instructed to leave because of the looming, dark presence of the demonic little girl. While in the basement investigators complained of being light headed.

Occasionally, noises were heard of metal clicking on metal emanating from the kitchen area. A few faint audible EVPs were noted by several investigators. In the west portion of the restaurant, the main dining area, a Native American skin walker is known to haunt around the bathroom area. Tim “Beaker” captured IR and UV spectrum video footage of different locations throughout the building; results of his data can be found in our media section under videos. In general, a fairly active site, though this particular evening the paranormal activity seemed rather subdued and latent considering that there have been reports of chairs being stacked upon tables and objects being moved across rooms.

Given the nature of the vortex, and the demonic entity controlling other spirits from the basement this haunting can be classified as a negative haunting.

Demons in Connecticut

March 18, 2014 WISPS  was contacted by a concerned father, “Deacon”, who along with his son, “Bishop” had been experiencing what they described as Poltergeist activity in their respective homes.

The activity had started five years prior when father and son lived together and had caused significant disruption to their lives. The activity centered around tapping and scratching on the walls, kitchen cupboards and drawers being left open, and objects being thrown around the home.

Deacon complained that oftentimes there was an unexplained foul odors, and a general feeling of misery in their home. Deacon and Bishop would begin fierce arguments over minor issues or for no reason at all. Deacon and Bishop soon realized the presence in their home was causing the negative moods and fights, and began to point out and stop their heated arguments shortly after they began.

The disruption got so bad that Deacon eventually lost his job. The disruptions and sleep deprivation had significant negative impacts on both of their lives. Both Deacon and Bishop began to reach out to the paranormal community to try and learn what was happening in their lives.

Deacon first contacted a local paranormal investigation group which came to conduct an investigation of the home. Once the investigators realized the entities in the home were malevolent the lead investigator demanded no investigator touch anything, and immediately packed up and left the residence refusing to help further.

Unable to get further help Deacon and Bishop began to look into the matter themselves. Deacon used his programming skills to create the now defunct website Paranormal-Studies.com in an effort to reach out to the paranormal community for help. From his website Deacon learned WISPS  gets involved with demonic cases, and made contact with the group.

Starting the same day Deacon was able to make contact with WISPS, Bishop was able to capture some activity on his laptop computer using sound/motion activated software. The videos on the left show the motion capture aspect in the form of a green box where there are changes to light.

This case is ongoing with WISPS conducting regular Skype Video conferencing interviews. Bishop has thus far advised his living arrangements are precarious and he is afraid intervention at his apartment may cause him to lose his lease. Bishop advised he will seek removal of the entities through Castle if the activity gets worse, but thus far it is bearable.

Because this video has not been captured personally by a WISPS investigator we cannot guarantee its authenticity 100%. The video clips shown however were taken from significantly longer raw video files by WISPS and are five of dozens of videos he has received on the case. The portions removed put the videos in greater context and lend further credibility and authenticity to their content. These videos have been shortened to show the just the activity portions and not the reactions by the victims in this case. In most cases these videos were received by WISPS within less than an hour of their being recorded.

WISPS Investigation No. J001

Undisclosed  Residence, Utah

March 23, 2014 – Meeting with Client

The front of the home was built in the early 1900’s with an addition built in the 1980’s.  The activity primarily occurs in the newer part of the home.

The client hears walking on the second floor when no one is up there and has seen apparitions of a young girl they call “Millie”.  The client’s daughter has experienced quite a bit of activity in the upstairs north bedroom.  One incident involved her asking the spirit to turn off the light and radio, because she was too tired to do it herself. The spirit immediately turned off both.  More recently, in the upstairs office area the computer has turned on and off playing music.  This happened after the client replaced batteries in clocks.

It was noted the spirit in the home seemed particularly drawn to the client’s daughter who no longer resides in the home. The daughter was described as short with brown hair and eyes. The activity has subsided somewhat since the daughter moved away. The client also mentioned the spirit in the home seemed upset when her oldest son would bring his girlfriend over. The client speculated “Millie” was jealous of the girl. Interviewing both they agreed the girlfriend was bad news and they felt “Millie” was trying to warn and protect them.

The client’s first experience with the spirit came shortly after they moved in.  Her daughter came home and there was someone standing behind her.  The client thought her daughter had brought a friend home.  The spirit was blond and appeared to be a solid entity.

Batteries tend to drain quickly, clocks stop working, and the clock in the main floor bathroom off of the laundry room will be rotated a ninety degrees clockwise.

When the client is sitting on the sofa on the main level she sees the reflection of someone walking behind her in the windows.  One evening she thought she saw the grandfather clock move.  When she investigated, the pendulum was swinging and the clock looked like it has been moved about an inch.

The client woke up one night and saw a wispy apparition of Millie.  She spoke to the client and said that she liked the name Millie but her “name is Anne with an E.”

In the basement level, the client’s older son was dragged from his bed in the northwest room and had someone blow in her ear.  This incident was mentioned with the jealousy, and potential warning noted above.

The office area in the basement used to have bunk beds. The younger son’s friend saw a girl in white sitting on the bed.  In the past few days, the younger son was working on the computer in this area.  He left the computer, when he came back the contrast and brightness on the monitor had been adjusted.  The EMF in this area seems to be exceptionally high.  This could be due to a supporting steel I-beam running across across the ceiling.

Although purely an unproven theory, Castle speculates the large I-beam in the basement may draw in local radio waves, and other wireless transmissions causing it to give off high EMF.  This may serve as a natural EMF pump for the spirit allowing it to more strongly manifest and move large objects.

There was a tombstone in the North East corner of the back yard.  The client recalls is saying Col. (Colonel) with a date in the early 1900’s. Further investigation showed the tombstone was not related to the phenomena, and more than likely had no significance whatsoever.

During the tour, in the upstairs bedroom, Amy could feel a presence in the room particularly behind her and her legs felt weak.  She felt as though someone was behind her during the entire tour.  While walking outside to the site of the headstone, the client mentioned that she often feels like there is a presence behind her.  Castle also mentioned he could feel a presence immediately on entering the home. Castle reported the same feeling inside the home on his first visit a few weeks prior. Speaking with Amy, Castle confirmed he also noticed the presence seemed to be stronger in the upstairs north bedroom.

The client’s do not feel that “Millie” is dangerous nor do they seem to want her to leave.  However, the do want some kind of proof that she exists. The family actually enjoys her presence and feels she is a part of the family.

The client has lived in the home for 8 years.  The previous homeowners also reported seeing apparitions of a young girl in the home.

Investigation:

Amy and Castle responded to the residence about an hour prior to the team to set up cameras and brief the client. The client requested to participate in the investigation. During the setup Castle asked Amy where she felt he should place a motion sensor. As Castle asked this a decorative wooden block painted to look like a six sided die was hurtled off of a shelf toward Castle. The block was propelled approximately 6-7 feet. Amy and Castle spent time attempting to debunk the event, but were unable to do so.

Later during an EVP session Castle asked the spirit if it had thrown the block. The spirit responded on an EVP that she had. During the investigation a toy dinosaur was also knocked off onto the floor.

After the investigation it was determined there was likely only one spirit in the home as activity was centered in only one location at a time. Two EVPs were captured, and the team had amazing success with the flashlight test. The spirit was able to turn the lights on and off on command, and use two lights at a time.

The clients enjoy their spirit, and enjoyed participating in the investigation.   WISPS has followed up and learned the spirit is still very active and has been throwing the wooden block more frequently. WISPS has scheduled a follow-up investigation to attempt to gather more evidence.
