Denise J – “Moon”

Podcast Personality / Investigation Lead / Lead Investigator

Since I was little, my mom had told me of her many experiences with spirits that had passed on in her family. She even had experiences seeing a few of her children before they were born. Hearing her experiences in my young life has kept me very open minded when it comes to spirits.

When I was about 8, I loved watching Unsolved Mysteries and X-Files, which gave me more insight into more stories and types of experiences. My interest in the paranormal grew rapidly.

My first paranormal experience happened at my friend’s house while having a sleepover. We were hearing cupboards being opened and closed while the whole house was asleep. While she was frozen in fear I was begging her to let me go and see what was going on. I eventually broke free and “investigated” to find everyone in their beds.

We moved into an older home when I was a teenager where my family and some of our close friends had experienced paranormal activity. There were unexplained noises, steps, laughter and even apparitions.

When I was a young teen to young adult, I used to figure skate. My Coach also had a fascination with all things paranormal and introduced me to one of my favorite ghost hunting television shows. I would go to her house to watch and I would be amazed that they were able to catch pretty compelling evidence of the paranormal.

I met Ravyn while doing her nails twelve years ago. She just started a paranormal group and would tell me all her stories of their ghost hunts. I loved those appointments! I sent her quite a few house calls from friends and family who were having paranormal activity that needed help. She taught me that hunting isn’t scary and I loved the idea of helping people feel comfortable in their homes.

Ravyn asked me to be on the team in 2020 and I have loved every minute of it. As my children have gotten older and need me less, I have been able to be more active with the group. I’ve made some really cool friends who teach me something new everytime we go out. I love helping families and love collecting evidence that can’t be explained.
